Hi!

I'm thinking of adding a 280x in my computer. I currently got a 7950 and I want to expand.
I got a Corsair 750W TX at the moment. Will it make it?

Also, as I'm running Z77 I will get 2 times 8X pci-e when I expand, that won't be a throttle, right?

I am aware that I won't get all the juice from the 280X when pairing with a 7950, but as there is no equivalent in the R9 series for it, and it's almost impossible to get a hold of another 7950 for a fair price I'm going to go with the 280X.

well the 7970 is actually the match so the 7950 will hinder it, with that said you will be fine with 850w. i recommend the cooler master v series, the corsair rm series, and if it's a good deal the seasonic platinum x series.

hmmm 750 W won't be stable also when undergaming lets say first card draw 300 another one draw another 300 and cpu and rest of the pc ... no no

U need like 1000W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139057 if u find any xmass sales or something on xfx seasonic 1000W that would be amazing too .

differance between crossfire on 8x/8x and 16x/16x ... won't really appear on a single monitor ....u will be fine :D

and u can also try the 280x alone .... the 7950 will force the 280x to preform less..

try things out and tell us :D

happy gaming ^.^

Technically your PSU is about ~150W more than what you'd need to drive that setup under load. However, it's usually not recommended to run your psu close to capacity for extended periods of time to prolong their lifespan, so you might want to upgrade to an 850W, 80+ Silver or better psu. This will provide a bit of headroom should you plan to overclock any components.
