Hi, I am trying to find a replacement motherboard for my Dell Inspirion 530. The one I currently have (which died) is Foxconn dg33m03; however, I am unable to find a new one on the web. Does anyone know of a compatible motherboard that will work with my computer?

Thank you
Mairan

Solution
I did a bit of research on folks with same Dell & Foxconn motherboard.

Found three common solutions:
- replace the power supply (hey, this is easy and low cost, maybe $35... if it doesn't work you can just haul the new power supply back to the store... See below, power supplies can and do get "weaker" with age, and at some point don't have enough juice (current) to start up the computer. )
- defective expansion cards (not sure if you have any, but, remove them from the computer and see if LED no longer blinks when you try to start up (but, a "weak" power supply could also cause this. Power supplies are, just like a dead car battery, it "try's" to start the car but can't quit do it....)
- and finally, the motherboard itself...

Hi, Thank you for the reply. I figured it was the motherboard using elimination..I checked each component to see if the problem was there (the hard drive, power source, etc), and when there was nothing else left (and I replaced that small battery that's on the motherboard) I can only assume it is the motherboard. The computer won't start..I only get orange blinking light trying to start it and that's it. I was hoping to find a new compatible motherboard. I will check with Dell as well. Thanks again.
