Hello!

I have strange FPS drops that last for about 5 seconds quite often my in almost every game i have tried. I have an FX8350 and 7950. When running GPUz and some other stuff you can clearly see when it is happening but i dont know if its the CPU or the GPU thats the problem. I added a link to a screenshot when playing Rome 2 below. I also just bought a new PSU but i dont know much about thoose and was wondering if that could be the problem.

I tried some stuff in the BIOS like turning off turbo mode and some other stuff but nothing seems to help really and frankly. Please help :)

Tried newest Beta drivers from AMD and updating the games right? have you got the games installed in Program Files and not Program Files (x86) (can be the culprit on many occasions)

Thank you for you answer! Yes i have tried different Beta drivers with no luck really. Recently i installed the new 13.12 drivers. There are some changes in performance but none eliminate the FPS drops unfortunately. Games are innstalled all over the place :)  Some are installed in the best possibly locations but the drop still occurs. One of thoose is Rome 2.

Sounds to me like your card is defective or your power supply is not supplying enough power.

Seemed to have fixed it by taking out the GFX card and putting it back in after cleaning a bit around the card and the card it self and making sure everything was connected properly. :bounce:  YAY!
