One fine day suddenly my laptop screen went blank and shut down. When i tried starting it back, only the fans were working. I took it to the service centre where the issue was found out to be with the graphics card and had to get the re-balling. But the issue has again occurred within one month.
Is there any solution for this? how can i avoid it? Also, should i go for mother board replacement? I was told by the service person that even this re-balling might not last long and this happens because of over heating. I am really confused. Please help
Thanks in advance!

Much better if you go for motherboard replacement, but much difficult if you are the one to install it in laptop case.
Think first, what about new laptop, maybe the cost not much big difference.

Yeah, I am planning to buy a new laptop. But can you explain why this started happening all of a sudden? I dont play games and the load on CPU is minimal. Even the laptop doesn't heat up much. I recently update my display driver, is that a culprit?
Thanks!

I think you never ask the service center to replace your graphics card with new one., not just reballing it.
To avoid overheating. make sure that your laptop fan exhaust is not blocked. ( add external cooling pad if needed)
There is a limited temp that once it reach the limit it will automatically shutdown.( maybe your one is not and it just damaged your gpu)
