Ok installing the operating system, when the "where do you want to install widows?" And nothing came up. So I clicked load driver like the gigabyte motherboard manual said to load a certain file from the disk, and clicked where I was supposed to go, but it didnt work. The error message contained "contact manufacturer for updated divers. I got the updated drivers and loaded them on. After the loading bar relate itself about 4-5 times it just went back to "where do you want to install windows?"
I'm annoyed and confused

Thanks

This part is strange because I sent my 1TB hard-drive back about a week ago when it had the same problem, got this one, and I doubt I would get 2 not working in a row.

Good point. If your BIOS can't see the drive, Windows will never be able to find it.

Check your BIOS first to make sure it detects the drive.

In my mobo bios like the other hard drive I sent back, it doesn't show up in the Ata port info, but my optical drive does.

And to update the drives for my mobo, I'm having trouble to see how to do this. I have the new drives on a USB but the manual, as I know off, doesn't contain how to update.

I got the new BIOS, hd still not detected :c.

I tried both 1 and 0, and I'm using the optical drive sata cable too, still no luck.

I doubt that twice in a row it is broken, do you think its something with my mobo?

After a 3rd time I'd be worried it's an incompatibility between the board and a specific HDD (although unlikely). But just to be sure I would connect the HDD in another computer to see if it's working.

You could also check to see if a new BIOS version is available and flash it if necessary. You could also reset BIOS to default settings.
