Belkin LAN port blinks green slowly????

I just connected my Smart TV to my router via ethernet cable and the LAN port is blinking green slowly. My tv isn't picking up the connection either. Please help....I am running Windows Vista with IE and the tv is a LG GA4650, Belkin G Router. Thank you

Well you might have to enable DHCP on your router to push out an IP address to it. Otherwise you can give it a static IP by putting in the networking information.

Well I looked into that and when I go into the network setting on the tv, I can either pick Ethernet or Wireless connection, but under the Ethernet it says 'No Connection' and its connection wirelessly. When I click into it furhter it says something about an IP address and a Proxy server and has a Mac address?????

In the manual all it states is to plug in Ethernet cable and the tv should do the rest. Or hook it up wirelessly....which my tv does pick up but not the wired connection.
