I bought an intel i5 3570k along with an GA-B75M-HD3 LGA 1155 B75 mATX Intel Motherboard

I'm currently using an AMD FX 4100 along with an AMD motherboard, I was wondering if I could just take it out and install the intel with no problems? do I need to do a fresh install of windows? also do I HAVE to use the disc that comes with the mother board for the drivers or can I get them online? I have no disc drive currently installed.

Solution
Yes you have to do a clean install of OS. If your copy of Windows is a Retail copy, then you might need to Reactivate windows, cause OS are somewhat married to MB.

Here's how to :

Activate Windows 7 manually:

1. Click Start, and in the Search box type : slui.exe 4

2. Press ENTER on your Keyboard

3. Select your Country.
4. Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.

You can re-enter your key by going to Start, type “slui.exe 3” in the search box and press enter.
