Is using a SSD that much better than a HDD

I was wondering if using a SSD would that much better than using a HDD(assume 7200 rpm). And is it worth the extra money for gaming.

Yes, SSD is much faster than HDD. People use SSD to stores things such as the OS and main games they play. You will see the booting time difference between storing them in SSD and HDD.

It is not worth getting for games, but ok as a boot drive

Yes.. SSD is much better/faster and makes a big difference to the overall speed and usability of windows. For Games.. as HayyScott says.. it would make loading time faster.. but ofc.. wont make your frame rate any faster..
