I have this: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03...

Can you please confirm it has a dedicated Radeon video card?

And also, will an A10 5800K Black Edition be a good upgrade? And importantly, is it compatible with my motherboard/chipset (I saw someone on here saying they had trouble with pins/heatsink connectors when installing the 5800K onto to HP desktops/Jasmine motherboard.

Thank you.

There's no use in upgrading your CPU. You're basically just upgrading to the same CPU that is unlocked. If anything, upgrading the graphics card will benefit you immensely!

Thank you Heisnburg.

I have just bought the A10 5800K Black Edition.

Is it a decent upgrade? And will the card still remain the primary graphics? I'd prefer to continue with discrete. (I'm not keen on crossfiring, it sounds pretty terrible).

I'm going to upgrade the graphics and PSU when I have the money etc.

Jared: I have the A10 5700 Vision. Would you still recommend sending this 5800K Black Edition back and getting a better graphics card? Or should I install this 5800K Black Edition, then upgrade my card later?

Yes, return the 5800K and then get a better graphics card instead

The specs are identical between the two processors so you wont see a noticeable increase in performance. Buying a better graphics card on the other hand, You will see a big increase in the performance of games and graphic heavy tasks

Thank you. The final thing I need to know is which card should I get bearing in mind that my metal casing is a mini-tower?

I'm trying to optimise it for video editing. It does relatively okay now, but there's slowdown/struggle when using multiple effects etc.

Is a bettrt graphics card or a better Quad Core best in this regard?

The CPU you already have is a Quad Core Processor and so upgrading your Graphics card Is the best option for now.
