Upgraded to windows 8.1 now no sound

Hi I upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1 now my creative Sound Blaster x- fi extreme gamer sound card is not working no sound. Looking on the web it seems a problem with creative and when i try them they say their is now no support for sb xfi cards. What can i do ive tried everything i did get it working but on re booth no sound. It was working on 8 perfect and workin on my 7 do i need to do a re install back to 8 hope not.

Try Linux on cd or thumb drive if you have sound restart windows go to run (windows key + r) type msconfig boot tab advanced tick maximum memory reduce to 2 gb apply save restart. SOUND. try increasing max memory if I go to 4gb sound stops.

nah dude i didnt because IM AN IDIOT. Cmon. What century do you live in. You are asking us questions for dumb asses when youre the real dumb ass because you didnt think that we would do that. I hope this isnt your career field because youd get a kick in the balls everytime you do your job. I would definitely refer you to be a professional captain obvious because it seems like thats all you can do.
