So, i'm new to dual monitor set-ups. I'm going to buy another asus VS247H-P to pair with the one i already have. Here's a link for you to check out the specs:

I have no clue how to set them up in dual mode right next to eachother. I would prefer hdmi if i could but as long as the monitor looks the same i could care less as long as they both can be hooked up. Thanks for your time!!

Solution
You CAN play on two monitors, it's just NOT a good idea for the reasons just listed.

My advice is do NOT buy a second monitor unless you want to add as an "extended" monitor so you can view two programs at the same time (web browser + application; or Game + whatever).

As for a 3x solution, I also don't recommend that without a great gaming PC (and at that point I'd recommend a good 27" 2560x1440 screen instead).

so i have to have three monitors to play games on it?

Come on! Think yourself! Important things in games always happen in the middle of the screen. That doesn't change if the virtual screen consists of two physical screens. You will end up with one half of the race car on one and the other half on the other screen with two monitors. That's why you play on one or three (or nine) screens.

this is the answer i was looking for. much better description. unlike the person before who failed to read the part in the op specifically stating "I'm new to dual monitor set-ups", you chose to read and not assume and make the first three letters of the word assume of yourself. You're advice has been very helpful! Thank you!
