I might get the Maximus VI Formula and incorporate the anodized aluminum into a custom cooling loop in the near future. I understand that aluminum is prone to corrosion, and I was wondering wether I should include it into the loop or not, and wether to use aluminum fittings on that one piece or not.

Solution
Aluminium is very prone to corrosion in the presence of Copper, Nickel and the other common water-cooling metals. I wouldnt include it, not worth the risk.
Really doubt you could even find Aluminium fittings.

Even if anodized? Other than the scratching, would it hold up? I guess I'll leave it out, sucks that ASUS didn't think that part through.
