I am looking for a powerful dual band wireless router that can support up too 5 devices at one time and over 20 in connection overall. My current router seems to be sluggish. it is a TP link WDR3600. I need it for high traffic. Preferably no loss of traffic speed when using 4 or more devices.

Solution
Basic physics says that this is impossible.

Given a router capable of 400Mbps to its devices.
4 devices, all downloading at the same time, will each only get 100Mpbs.

Scale up, and reduce the connection speed accordingly.

Now...how likely is it that 4 or more devices will all be downloading something large at the same time? Only you can tell.

It's most likely not the router, but your internet connection, that is limiting the traffic. If you find the TP link WDR3600 sluggish, buy a second one, set it up with different a ssid on different channels and end half of your client to the new network.
