Why does my PC freezes during gameplay?

I cant solve this problem, and i have been trying for a while.When i play games like samp (San andreas multiplayer), Call of duty (all versions), or league of legends my PC just freezes when i get into a big war, fight or a lot of smoke and dirt just freezes everything, even the keyboard and mouse and sound.Then i must restart my PC and all over again.

Processor : AMD Athlon(tm) X4 750K Quad Core Processor 3.40 GHz
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GT 640
RAM : 4 GB

Please i need a solution !!

I have had black screens & freezing caused by video cards - in my case the temps were getting high as the card worked hard.

Install MSI afterburner and monitor your gpu for load & temps.

Its true he has a weak gaming card.

But keyboard and mouse shouldn't freeze right? You should be able to press Ctrl Alt Del to get back into the windows menu.

No Graphics Card should hang up the system entirely. Hang up the game, maybe.

The resolution question is a good one though, but Gt 640 is weak for almost every resolution.

my resolution is 1920x1080, yea it isnt good for gaming but i can play gta samp and LoL very easily

I tried Ctrl alt delete, but doesnt work, everything just freezes

I will try installing msi afterburner and im going to open the computer case for better cooling results, i hope :(
