Does a Radeon 7470 HD video card support dual monitors? If so, how? I can't seem to get 2 monitors working at the same time.

How are you hooking up the monitors?

Oh, I tried with an adapter that came with the computer. That worked fine. Then I put an HDMI cable from the computer to the 2nd monitor and no luck. If I just use the HDMI cable connection with the computer and one monitor, that doesn't work either. I had no idea it would be so frustrating.

By the way, although I am not a computer wizard or genius, I have been setting up desktops, laptops and monitors for years with no problems at all. This one is very perplexing given that it is a brand new desktop and brand new monitors.

Are you booting up with the one monitor hooked up and plugging the other in while in the OS?

By the way, what OS do you have?

Windows 7 professional. I have tried a combination of ways. First time I hooked both of them up-nothing. Unhooked the HDMI one and it worked with the DVI adapter with a VGA cable. Unhooked the working one and hooked up the non working one with the HDMI connection. It didn't work. They will both work with an adapter DVI (not sure if it is DVI-I or DVI-D so will have to look at again) and a VGA cable. VGA to VGA doesn't work. If I use that, it says the video card doesn't support VGA.

And when I said they both work, I meant the computer will recognize the one that is hooked up. But I can't get the computer to recognize 2 monitors at the same time. I could call Dell but decided this might be easier since I get impatient sometimes with people who speak English but don't actually understand some of the nuances of the language.
