Change ssd to primary

So i just got a ssd and have plugged it in to my motherboard at the sata 1 port but when reinstalling windows it still says that my old hardrive which is now at port 2 is the primary. how can i change that?

    Go into the bios and set it as the first boot device, disconnect the HDD and reinstall. Then plug the HDD back in and use it for all the swapping stuff that shouldn't be on the SSD.
  2. Go into BIOS at the start.

    Usually the Del or F8 key.

    Go into Boot settings.

    Change 1st boot device to SSD and 2nd boot device to HDD.

    Save and exit.
