so i was building my very first computer and when i was putting on the cooler on the cpu, i realized that i put a lot of pressure on the cooler to the cpu so that the cooler may hook on to it, like really i pout a lot of pressure. i think a really screwed up like a noob i am scince its my first build. i later saw that i could unscrew were the hooks were so that there would be less pressure on the cpu. am i too late? could the cpu be smashes ? i took out the cooler and saw thermal paste covering it, but i can't take it outwith my nails because it is really hard? so my question is, did i brake my cpu?
also i have put the whole pc together an i turned it on but the monitor isn't reading it.

cpu: amd fx 6350
motherboard: M5a78l-m usb3

i don't see any physical damage on the cpu, thing is i can't take it out of the motherboard, seems to be jammed to it from the pressure, not sure if the pins are broken or something like that.

cpu: amd fx 6350 3.9 ghz six-core
motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M usb3
gpu: ASUS Radeon HD 7850 2gb
case: Diablotek EVO mid tower case
psu: corsair cx 500 (m)
hdd: 500 gb7200rpm
optical drive: lg m-disc

should i try to take a knife or a screwdriver and try to separate the cpu and motherboard?

as long as you put it in correctly arrow on cpu to the arrow matching the board i dont see why it would be jammed

did you lift up the lil lever that you pushed down if not it wont budge unless you unhook and push it back.

i sound very noobish( but i am i mean it's my first build) but i realized that i had to pull the lever ALL the way up, like with force then the cpu came out, thanks any ways but i still need to find out why the monitor doesn't read my pc. i will read the article and respond as soon as i finish.

If you're taking your CPU and cooler in and out like you've said, you need to re-apply thermal paste to the CPU every time you take the cooler off of it. That involves cleaning the CPU of all thermal paste (look up how on the internet, plenty of tutorials) and then re-applying some properly (again, read a tutorial or two first). Otherwise, you'll just overheat. That's probably the reason you're not starting up properly.
