frames wont go over 60 on gtx 760

i used to run 2 R9 270 on my pc and i decided to swap em out with 2 gtx 760 i was interested in the shadow play function i isntalled them and updated them i jumped ina game and my frames wouldnt go over 60 the R9's used to hit 120 easy on the games i played any ideas ive read that maybe the card is bottle neck due to my cpu i have a first gen i7 920 stock clock any ideas??

First, punctuation goes a long way! Second, turn off Vertical Sync in the driver settings, but you may not like the page tearing.

Sorry im on my fone kinda hard to spell correct lol do ati card work better with vsync? Because i think i had it on and it never have me that issue

No, nvidias vsync is better, but it automatically caps the fps to match your monitor(60) in this case to make the image smooth without tearing. You can turn it off in the nvidia control panel.

Thats right, unless you turn off vsync

well i turned it of and it was stil capped it didnt go over 60 unless i have to restart the game for the effect to apply
