Hello, I have a laptop with an HDD already in it and space for an SSD. Today I got my SSD and decided to put it in. I made sure I putted it where it was supposed to be, and I'm 100% sure that it is correct placed. So I booted up my computer, went in to my BIOS, and my SSD wont show. It's an Intel 530 SSD.

I have no idea why it will not show in my BIOS so any help would be appreciated much!

Thanks!

It's a laptop from a norwegian manufracturer - Multicom Xishan W350E

I have sent an E-Mail to their support regarding this issue, but since it is night over here I'm guessing I will have to wait until daytime before I can get a response from them.

Hehe. Yeah, going to try to update it, since I pretty much haven't done that on this computer before (it ain't too old). Might be worth a shot.

Just updated the BIOS, doesn't seem like that helped much. The SSD is still not showing in my BIOS.. And I still haven't gotten a response from their support.. I thought this SSD thing was pretty straightforward, just put it in your laptop and you are ready to go. Meh, hope I can get it up and running sometime soon.

Just tested the SSD in an old Acer laptop, removed the HDD that was in there and booted up. Went in to BIOS and there it was. So that means that there is something wrong with the laptop that I am using now? Could it help to swap places between the SSD and HDD, I mean, put the HDD where my SSD is currently located? Or could possibly clearing CMOS be helpful?
