It wont let me connect to my dads wifi he has a desk top computer i try to connect it says saved and secure with WEP but wont do anything it has a lock next to it would do i do or what does this mean??

My nexus7 used huge amounts of battery when connected to WEP secured network. It would never go to sleep. Changing security to WEP2 fixed the problem.

Maybe you have a similar problem. Try changing your router security to WEP2. Its more secure and it only requires slightly longer password- that you really need to type in only once- 1st time u connect.

it means it is secure or encrypted when you select to connect it should ask for a password or key
