Adjusting Memory Timings

Hey guys so I bought a 2x4GB Mushkin Redline 1600mhz CL7-8-7-24 memory about a year ago and now that I need to expand my memory capacity I'd go ahead and purchase another kit of those.
Only Issue I see is that they no longer offer the exact same memory but timed at CL7-9-8-24 instead.

Now as my i7-860 CPU OC will bring down memory speed quite a bit (currently from 1333 to 1020), would i just be able to tighten those timings to compensate for lower frequency and synchronize the 2 kit's timings or does this not work that way?

Solution
You can try it, best bet would be to get a full set of the full amount you want, any time you mix sets, even of the same exact model can be problematic, adjusting timings (base and advanced) as well as voltages can get them playing, but often they just won't play
