This is gonna be a pretty noobish question, but we all have to learn somehow. I want to install a Linux distro on another partition. I'm just having issues on creating the partition. I don't know where to start on creating another partition. I haven't found a tutorial that helps me specifically. I have a 1TB drive and would like to allocate 50-100GB to the Linux OS. Thanks,

In win7 go to disk management and shrink the volumn the amount you wish devote to Linux. Leave blank.
Start your install and when it asks where to install you choose something else or advanced where you create the partition yourself. Make 2, a small 1 or 2 gb swap and the rest a Linux system. There will be a place there to mark the partition for booting the mark is /.
