Took advantage of boxing day sales to finally find some decent prices in Canada for a change. It was a bugger trying to find them, anyways I am left with no graphics card yet and splurged on an good PSU so I could run sli/crossfire later on.

Just I am torn between getting a 770/780/R9 290 when the non reference card comes out. I am not sure if Mantle will make a difference or not. Anyways open to suggestions and here is my build:

Unless you want to wait for the 780ti non reference card, just grab the 780 :p

Well as far as the GPU I would go with a GTX 770 or the R9 290. If you are only gaming on a single 1080p there is no need for a GTX 780 or GTX 780ti as either of those cards will be able to max any game with no problems.

The 290x non reference cards are built and ready to go. If I planned on SLI in the future I would go with the 780, the 290x is close to 300W, the 780 is 250W.

I would say 770 based on price per performance but the 780 is clearly the better card if budget isn't really a problem. Personally the 290 is on the bottom of that list

Agreed, if your a single screen then the 770 or 290 would serve you well, perhaps a 290x as it's only a few bucks more.
