Monitor Has Green Wave On The Side

I purchased an Asus monitor off Newegg back in February: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vh232h

So far, the monitor has been great and worked flawlessly. However, I realized green waves moving on the left side of the monitor. I noticed this one time about a week ago, but then it went away. Today, it came back. It just pops out of nowhere for a random amount of time and then disappears. I have never seen anything like this and I would like some help on fixing this issue.

Here is a video of what's wrong: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHCZVjOx4WE&feature=yout...

Edit: I've been using a DVI connection since February, if that makes a difference.

Solution
Try updating your graphics driver

Have you installed software that came with the monitor for tuning it? .
Try uninstalling it and letting the graphics driver have control

Check the temps of your graphics card.
After reading your post, I went to check my AMD folder and realized that I had two driver folders. One of them was Catalyst 13.6 Beta and the other one was Catalyst 13.11 Beta. I deleted the 13.11 and restarted my computer and the green wave disappeared. Do you think having two of the drivers caused the problem?
If so, why did the green wave just pop up recently? Considering I've had both of the folders for months?

There are really only 3 possibilities

1/ faulty monitor

2/ faulty graphics card [ and it would be an unusual way for one to fail ]

3/ driver
and since thats obvious , cheap and easy its the first thing to try . How it was not working has to be a mystery buried in a few hundred megabytes of code

Replying a year after the fact. I have the exact same problem: It's definitely a monitor issue though. I can unplug the DVI cable and it still persists when showing the "no signal" screen.
