hey guys. i just got my xfire 290s and things arnt working well... im not sure what is wrong but i went from a 10200 fire strike score with a single 290 to a 3200 score with xfire 290s lol. also sometimes my computer just freezes right after i try to overclock. my gpu usage on both cards goes from 0 to 100% up and down really fast as well as when ever i play a game my gpu memory is maxed.. also with my computer sitting idle doing nothing my gpu usage still spikes up and down to a hundred and the voltages goes up and down to. i have no clue whats going on.
when using xfire.

Oh my God!! Why didn't you tell that before? It is the PSU. I have had similar issues in the past with my 5870 Crossfire. Sudden restarts for a prolonged period and then the PSU just died on me one day. It's got to be the PSU. Two things before buying a new PSU:

1. Make a rough estimate of your power consumption( CPU tdp+ Motherboard tdp(20-75W)+GPU tdp(500W in your case) and then find the total to have an idea of your peak consumption( roughly 750W in you case).
2. Always check whether the PSU is 80 PLUS Bronze certified. 80 PLUS Gold/Platinum are better and costs more..

And also 3rd class brands of PSUs fail to deliver the marked wattage output as indicated on the sticker. Cooler Master is not a good brand for PSUs. Check this...

Do you have a PCI e 2.0 slot on your motherboard or PCI e 3.0? That may be your problem. Everything else seems fine for me at least. PSU should not be the problem, I guess though Cooler Master is not a good brand for PSUs..

idle around 29- 32 and full load around 41 -45c ( man the stock 290 cooler is rubish. cut 50 degrees off them )
cpu is around 50 full load.

you sure it wouldnt be the power supply? 850watts enough for all that? would a week power supply do that to your gpu usage or just crash the computer. because sometimes my computer just straight up freezes. ill do a bench mark and then a minute later after its done the computer just freezes and sits there.

im going to get the evga 1300 supernova. hopefully this is the problem. I cant figure out what else it would be. everything runs fine until you play a game soon as it gets intensive the game crashes to desktop then a min later the computer locks up. also I get awful frame rates and stuttering when I play any game. I guess due to the gpu spikes
