So I have pretty much all the parts sorted for my new build in the New Year. Will be using it solely for gaming and streaming movies and whatnot. The components are as follows:

CPU: Intel i5 4670k
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: ?
GPU: MSI GTX 780 TF/OC
Ram: 16gb Crucial Ballistix
PSU: Corsair AX860
Case: Corsair Carbide 500R WT
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120gb
HDD: 1TB WD Caviar Blue

The question is out of the Asus Maximus VI Hero or MSI Z87 GD65 which one would help me run a cooler system, good audio and offer best oc capabilities for the future (I only plan a mild overclock btw). I also might SLI 2 780s in future.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

both have really good OC capabilities, I think is a matter of wich do you like the most ?
I prefer the ASUS mobo is really extreme, however:

MSI has been using components that meet or exceed MIL-STD-810G for some time as part of its Military Class build philosophy. Parts such as Super Ferrite Chokes that run at up to 35 degree Celsius lower temperatures, have a 30% higher current handling capacity, and a 20% improvement in power efficiency; Tantalum filled Hi-C Caps that are are up to 93% efficient; and "Dark Capacitors" that feature Lower ESR and a ten-year lifespan all tied into a PCB with improved temperature and humidity protections as part of the "Military Essentials" package......In the end MSI's Z87-GD65 is a board that comes with an expansive feature set that includes all your basics and the extras that set them apart such as the V-Check points, upper end audio, Dual BIOS ROMs, KIller Network package, Military Class IV package, and a three-year warranty. Couple that with good looks that carry the dragon theme through the board

I've used a ton of ASUS boards, never a problem with there higher end boards. But, had a couple low end ones fail, replaced 'em with MSI low-ends, no issues with those...

That said at the highend ASUS is the gold-standard and their ROG boards are the top of that heap. Tons of reviews, always positive...

Now MSI is the new kid, working hard to make their mark. Not sure if this is the exact model you were looking at but it's the one I measure against the ASUS board...

Don't think you'll go wrong with either card, but, perhaps the "look" will help you choose. I have & like a RED themed computer so that along with ASUS name would sell me. Can't see myself owning a YELLOW computer, so, no MSI for me here....
