GTX 760 DirectCU II OC connection to my PSU

So I unboxed my GPU today, and was installing it with no problems, until I tried connecting it to my PSU. Now, I'm no tech genius, so i'll describe my problem as best I can:

The cable has 2 6-pin "inputs", and 1 8-pin "output", leading to the GPU. However, my PSU only has one 6-pin cable coming out of it, so I cant connect my 2nd end of the GPU cable. My PSU is the TechSolo ATX STP 650, so I'm above the 500W requirement. My question is does the 2nd end of the cable need to be connected? And if so, how would I go about doing that?

yes, both of the 6-pin ends need to be connected to the PSU if you are going to use that cable. Does our PSU have an 8-pin PCIe connector on it? If so, just connect it directly to the 760's power connector. If not, then you will need to get (unless you already have one) a "4-pin molex to 8-pin PCIe" connector that looks somethng like this:
