My rig:

CPU:Intel 2600k 4.5 Ghrz
Mobo: MSi Z68A-GD80(G3)
GPU: nVIDIA GTX 680
RAM: 2x 8GB Vengeance Dual Channel Kit, 1600MHz, 8-8-8-24, 1.5V
PSU: Corsair 800w Gold Series Silent Pro
HDD: 2x 120gb SSD in Raid 0

I want to upgrade ram and get the full advantage of my rig.
What ram should i go for?

The RJ X line came out aimed at the 1155 and P67/Z68 chipsets....biggest problem w/ the Z68 is it's sort of an orphaned chipset, and few ever really followed through and kept up with the BIOS updates, as the the 1150 socket was already in development, MSI particularly was slow as they often are on BIOS updates

G.Skill points the finger at MSI while MSI points the finger at G.Skill. G.Skill makes some amazing products, but for whatever reason, they just seem to have compatibility problems with MSI whereas other companies like Crucial, Corsair and Kingston do not.

Possible, but I've worked with I don't know how many MSI mobos, more than I've wanted and have found them to be very slow with updates to the BIOS for DRAM compatibility across the board, including Corsair, Mushkin, Crucial and others - especially with DRAM over 1600, which is unusual as other mobo makers have no real problems w/ the same sticks....I've had calls on problems and pulled the DRAM out of MSI mobos, and replaced it with other sticks, taken these 'bad' sticks and amazingly ;) they work fine in every other rig I stick them in (and yes the sticks have been on their QVL, which we all know that QVLs are pretty worthless)....things like this are why I won't touch MSI mobos for builds, in fact when they released the new lines of the 45 and 65 models for Z87 there were all the problems with the highly touted 'Killer NICs' they caught as they sent mobos out for review and did a BIOS fix, yet they had already shipped to re/e-tailers and folks got stuck with mobos that were very iffy for internet connecting until they updated the BIOS

Hello and thanks for the help. But i still dont understand which RAMS should i pick. (16 gb)
I already have a pack of vengeance and i m looking something better.
I find your conversation interesting and educating. I ll avoid MSi mobos from now on (Y)

That G.Skill RAM is 1.6 volt RAM. Your MB specs call for 1.5 volt RAM.

I would recommend Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model BLS2K8G3D169DS3 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148721

EDIT:

OR, even better (Cl 8-8-8-24) Crucial Ballistix 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model BLT2KIT8G3D1608DT1TX0 :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148561

Ah i am confused. First of all i need you guys to tell me if my current ram sticks are fine.
Because i bought them really cheap i have the idea that they are not that good.
And since i am upgading my rig i thought that RAM must change to something better.
All those products you are posting here, are better than my rams but still confused.
Btw thanx for helping because i am completely blind when we are talking about memory(RAM_

What you have is fine and should work fine, with CL8 it's tighter thanthe base entry level 1600/9, you posed your question as wanting to upgrade the RAM which is why I suggested what I did, higher freq, better performance...I'm not sure why Yogi was suggesting basically the same thing 1600/8 and slower sets 1600/9 as no performance gain would be seen and the Corsair you have are actually a little stronger than the Crucial sticks (they (your Corsair) have a bit more OC headroom on average)

Think you'll be happy with them, great set of sticks, I've got the 32GB set of those on my Sandy Bridge 2500K and love them - also work great with both my IB and Haswell builds, have used a lot of these sticks...and don't worry about the Best Answer thing, that's fine
