Today I installed my second 7850 (Sapphire) to run in crossfire with my old MSI 7850. When I had one card, I ran at 1050MHz overclock at stock voltage and my temps rarley reached over 60 degrees. Now with my second card, my old MSI 7850 reaches 80 and fan speeds are much higher. I Also noticed that when stress testing in MSI Afterburner, the second GPU (Sapphire) goes down to 0% load and stays at a much lower temperature. Both cards are at the same voltages with the same overclock (1050MHz). I also noticed in Far Cry 3 that my fps is much more choppy and fluctuates more. I think it may even be worse. Any ideas on what to do? Not sure if I set up software correctly after installation. Tia for your help :)

As for my specs:
Be Quiet 630W PSU
2x AMD 7850
Intel 3570k
SSD+HDD

As everybody say CrossFire never works better. It could be driver issue or could be power issue.

Radeon HD 7850 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 500 Watt power supply unit and 650 Watt if you go with two cards in Crossfire mode.

Though it could run on 630W PSU, provided its a decent make. Your unit is not a trusted one.

And did you connected the bridge for Xfire ?

Bridge is connected and card shows up in device manager and all software. Not too sure about my PSU, it's proven worthy for a year and have never had any problems

The PSU may be good under low stress. But not Recommend for stressful situations. May not be able to put out full rated power above room temperature, and may slightly fail to meet ATX specs.

And you could try to update BIOS of MB, may help your cause.
