When I went from the All in one packet power (120 MB internet) of UPC to the Alle in one packet Basic (internet 50 Mb) there was not more any sound. Ik have Realtek high definition audio. What is the cause? UPC could or would not tell me.

Welkom en een heel goode avond.

Changing Internet providers shouldn't impact on sound or anything else within your computer. Look in Control panel>Sounds and Audio Devices under the Hardware tab to check your Realtek is showing and the entry is not greyed out. Is the volume control set to Mute?

Thank you Saga Lout. First: the volume control is not set to mute. Everything about the sound is alright. That I can see on the screen when I look in control panel, Sounds en audio Devices under the Hardware tab. My Realtek is showing en the entry is nog greyed out. Everything is showing that there must be sound to hear and still there is no sound. Last year I got another pc and there was the same problem. When there is a change of something of the pc there is something wrong with the soundrendering.

Sound problems are among the most frustrating to diagnose - especially when you aren't actually sitting at the machine. All I can suggest is tht you uninstall it in Device Manager then restart the system and let it reinstall the sound system from the ground up.

We heeft te hope het terugkomen in a better frame of mind. :D
