can i use hdmi and dvi at the same time for dual monitor 7770

I have a laptop, and am trying to do just that with no success. I have either the VGA working or the HDMI working, but not both. If VGA is connected, the HDMI monitor is blacked out, but I can tell it to extend to it. Problem is, it turns blue, then tells me to save. After that, it doesn't turn on and goes back to black on the windows prompt. If I unplug the VGA, it instantly is on, and extended....but I can't have both at the same time.

Any solution? Is it a software issue? It shows all 3 screens on the Display area, but won't let me turn them all on at the same time....Any help would be greatly appreciated!
