I've been asking on here a lot about the 4670k. I was going to go with it but now I after seeing a good sale which is $60 off at a local computer store. I'm considering getting the 4770k. But, after a lot of reading it seems to be not the greatest difference between the 2 and the price different is pretty big.

Are there any advantages to getting a 4770k? or should I just get a 4670k and with the extra cash get a good water cooler with it?

On the side what are the best coolers on the market for price and performance. I want to over clock a lot and to the CPUs full potential and air is cheaper but I will get a water if its going to give me that extra edge.

Solution
thats quite good. i reckon if you went to 1.25V you could get this one into the 4.8ish area.

WRONG! Hyper threading better for some new games. Dont you ppl read Tomshardware expert reviews. More cache that is better, but unless you are going to do some video rendering and other stuff i do not advise the i7 4770k.
But i will leave that to your better judgment and wallet.
As for my experience, i have a i5 4670k @ 4.2 with a xigmatek night hawk - frostbourn edition with xi3 - hdt thermal paste. Full load temp 58~59º C.(My amb temp is around 18-20º C. And got a Gigabyte GTX 780.
I could have bought the i7 4770k but i was advised to get the 4670k cause all the game in the market even the ones coming 2014 will barelly use full range of a i5 4670K. The extra cores from the 8T will not give you extra performance on games, they need cold hard physical processing, and high Ghz.
If your aiming for gaming get the 4670k, and you save some bucks on the processor and with the money you save get a better graphic card.

Thanks for all the replies, I wasn't biased on i5 or i7 but I went out and decided to go with the 4670k and I'm very pleased with the performance increase I have gotten already. Took a while to install my new h100i cooler but it's all setup and running as I'm typing on it now.....

so far 4.4ghz at 1.2v is that good or bad? I will need help with over clocking it if anyone can.
