Hi all,

I have this strange problem with my system. Totally at random, when I give the command to shut down, my PC will not shut down but reboot. When I switched off the option 'reboot after system crash' my PC will just sit there with no video output or HDD activity but the fans will continue to spin and power is on. The only way to shut it down is to hit the power button on such occasion, it will shut down immediately.

The problem exists since august, since then I have swapped my GPU, HDD's (swapped my 1TB disk for 2x2TB in Raid 1, it's not the boot drive) and PSU, so I guess those components can be ruled out. All my drivers and BIOS are up to date and I have done multiple fresh installs since august. I ran memtest and it came out clean as far as I know. Also I don't overclock, the only thing I have changed in the performance menu in the bios is the XMP profile for the RAM to have it run at its rated speed.

My system is as follows:

ASUS Sabertooth Z87
I7 4770K
R9 290X
Corsair AXi 860W
Custom watercooling
8GB Crucial RAM
DVD drive
Legal Windows 8.1 Pro

If anyone could help me that would be a huge thanks for you!!

Thanks in advance!
