They are completely wrong. You will probably need to go into the UEFI console and disable Secure Boot, as well as turn on the CSM (Compatibility Support Module) to enable Legacy boot options, but setting up 7 after that is done should be no problem. UEFI handles booting differently, so the CSM was put in place to allow the system to emulate the way the old BIOS would boot systems.
No reason why not. Pop in your Windows 7 install disk and boot the machine from it.... run the install. Just be sure you back up any data you need first though.

I would give 8.1 a try though, since you are planning to wipe the system out anyway. Run the upgrade through the Windows Store and see what you think before you write Windows 8 off completely.

Ya I tried 8.1 it took away my startisback program . I don't really use anything 8 anyway , rather just have 7 . On other sites it said that this can't be done cuz the bios Is tattooed with windows 8 or something

Oh ok I had another PC it was a freebie PC and I wasn't able to install anything on it for some reason I tried everything not sure why it wouldn't let me . For my PC I did make the recovery discs and all that do I need to keep the recovery partition on the hdd ? Or can I delete that and just use the discs I made from it?
