Hi, I tried to install Debian 7.3.0 in my HDD (500GB, partitioned in 2 volumes), and since I found it a bit too difficult, I decided to abort the installation, when I rebooted my computer, it displayed a message, something like "invalid boot device, please reboot with a valid boot device", I rebooted several times, nothing happened, the message was still there, so I performed a repair (with Windows 7's DVD), and then it worked fine, BUT it didn't recognize my D: partition

I don't think it's a filesystem problem because it didn't format anything, or not that I remember, and I'm pretty sure it's still NTFS so you can probably discard that

Pls halp

Right click and give it a drive letter.

Have you tried a full reinstall of Windows?

During the Debian install, unless you told it otherwise, it probably tried to use the whole disk. Aborting it partway through, that is now all hosed up.

Reinstall Windows, using the whole drive.

I'm not entirely sure if I want to do that yet, I mean 168 GBs (my whole C: drive) are still working normally, I've lost no data (yet) so maybe there is a solution that doesn't require formatting?

OK...so Windows is still installed on the original partition? And it works?

Look in Disk Management. See if the D partition appears there.

Hoh, amazing, it's there! But apparently, it's empty. I don't really mind if I lose my D: data, though.
