Hello THW, this is my first build and I am having some trouble starting up my PC for the first time.

I used Pc Part Picker to piece together my build, this is a link to the components in my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2hhHZ

Whilst on Christmas break I thought I could buy my parts, put them together, and play Payday all week. The building went smoothly, however when I plug in my TV cord (DVI, I know its old as hell but its all I had laying around) the TV reads "No Signal" (I am sure it was on the right input source). I tried this on an HDMI cord and still no signal. I tried on a different TV and the same thing, no signal.

My question is if I need to return my mobo, gpu, or psu. Thanks for taking the time to help.

Do you get any POST beeps, or anything like that? Do you have a different monitor you could hook up to test? If your TV is older, it might not be able to accept the signal that your Video Card is putting out by default. I would test it out with a different monitor 1st. If you get a series of Beeps, you have to pay attention to them, and their pattern. Your Motherboard manual will have a section in it, or it may be on the Asus website what the beep codes means.

I didnt test it with a moniter yet, but there is one long beep and three short beeps which indicates a graphics card problem

UPDATE: I did try it on a monitor with DVI, and a VGA/DVI Dongle adapter. Still no signal, the beep codes when started up are one long beep, and three short beeps. Which indicate a video card error.

Then your VC is hooped. Try the card in a different system to make sure.
