Just installed a new Samsung evo 840 250gb and it after doing a performance test it shows quite poor Random read and random write any ideas why? AHCI mode is enabled and the SSD is in a sata 3 slot. Also i should mention that i did do a clean install of windows to install on the SSD
Fairly poor IOPS times on new SSD?

does your motherboard have multiple sata controllers? are you using your best one? (tends to be intel, over marvell)
