I've reinstalled windows Vista on my wife's computer, and now the computer won't recognize the network. I've searched for the past four days and have tried everything, ever the Microsoft Fix It, but nothing.

I came here and tried doing this in Safe Mode:

Restart into Safe Mode with Networking then open a Command form and type in the following:-
ipconfig /flushdns then press Enter.
Restart the machine - still into Safe with Net and enter the following, pressing Enter after each:-
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
One more restart back into Safe with networking and put the final command in:-
netsh int ip reset reset.log and press Enter. Restart into the Normal running mode

And things still won't connect.
I keep getting Unidentified Network

Here is my latest ipconfig /all
C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /all

Solution
You have an unidentified network issue, which you may be able to fix by changing the MAC address of the Ethernet adapter using THIS free tool, which will save the old address. If this fails, you need to go through the tedious long list of things to do to repair an unidentified network.
