R9 290 not booting up windows after driver install HELP QUICKLY

Hi i got a R9 290 for christmas today (along with a whole rig) in parts and i have just set it up with windows and everything and now i installed amd latest drivers, it says it successfully complete, but and said you need to reboot, so i did and it loaded onto windows JUST showing the background nothing else, before i pressed start right arrow and enter and it shut down and i heard the noise so i know its running, but i dont know what is happening please help as i am getting very stressed!

you have your monitor hooked to the new card and not your motherboard? please list components and power supply.

yeah thanks for that buddy, that just reminded me, i have my tv hooked up via hdmi aswell as my monitor FFS haha, what a idiot i am, its trying to run 2 monitors and my monitor is running as the 2nd one and my tv (which is off, is the first) and yeah ive unplugged it now, reinstalling the drivers will report back with results!
