For the love of God, not even intels own tech support can answer this:

If a cpu is going to hit its tdp, it will do so while in "turbo mode" right?

The intel cpus with model S have the same turbo speed right?

How is it possible one chip can run at turbo and put out 84 or more watts while others run at 65watts.

The only way i see is that the s chip will throttle sooner to not violate its tdp. But id love to know the real answer.

Intel tech, who are obviously indians (they answered me today, Christmas day) cant wrap their heads around this question and just say "No, speed step and tdp are different things. Tdp is watts, Speedstep adjusts the cpus ghz."

I was going to answer this thread but this just seems racist.
