Need help

Whenever I turn my PC on, the fans start, and so does the led of my Zalman 9500. After less than 2 seconds it stops, then after some 3 or 4 seconds it turns on normally. This never happened before, should I worry? I turned off my optical drive because just before my pc would start, it was making a crackling noise and then continued just fine. This started to happen 2 days ago.

my specs:

Corsair 500r
GA970a-d3
fx 8350 slightly overclocked to 4.2 cooled by a zalman 9500
gtx 770 4gb
16gb kingston 1333
HDD barracuda 2tb 7200
thermaltake tr2 700w (I did a lot of research, and my unit can be considered reliable, although it is not a recommended PSU. Could this be the problem?)

thanks in advance guys

The crackling noise means that the hard drive is working, so the data is being read off the plates (in the disks) by the heads, them things that look like this:

I dont know what the noise depends on, but I think that the more information is being transferred the harder the plates/heads have to work. So for example when you turn on your PC, it reads off the windows,your...

Cold start it is called. I get it sometime, sometimes I dont. Quite random. Nothing to worry about though, I still get it even after I installed a new motherboard. Doesent affect my pc's performance.

I dont know what the noise depends on, but I think that the more information is being transferred the harder the plates/heads have to work. So for example when you turn on your PC, it reads off the windows, your files and so on. I spoke about this to my ICT guy as I was too at some point worried about the noise It makes, but I kind of forgot what he said. Anyway its not a thing to worry about. Cold starts shouldent be a concern aswell, I get them at least few times a week, and as far as I know they dont damage your pc.
