Hey there, I recently replaced my new CPU and motherboard, and now my PC isn't recognising my HD 6870 :( . There were no problems with the GPU previously, so I thought either it is not in right or I have damaged it when putting everything back on the new motherboard. But I'm fairly sure it's in correctly(made sure to really get it in there) and I hope it's not damaged. Do you have any suggestions? Would be really apprectiated :)  Thanks!

Change the PCIe slot if you have 2 3 ......

I don't think I can test it on another PC, but I tried it in a different slot and still nothing. When I take it out and put it back in (I unplug the PSU and plug it back in as well as switching it on/off), the machine wont come on unless I unplug , turn off and leave it for a few minutes. Doest that hint at anything else?

The only thing that hints me ......
You have Motherboard with old BIOS ver. and you current BIOS does not support the current CPU
If you gimme CPU model and Motherboard model and rel. x.x i can check

I hope you have connected all 4 ,6 etc, pins from the PSU to the mobo and GPU .......

I've got it working now. I think the GPU wasn't put in properly so the motherboard didn't want to risk damage (or something) and wouldn't work
