Which AMD CPU should I get?

I have the AMD FX-4100 and I want to upgrade my CPU but don't no which one I should get. I think maybe the 6300 but would that give me that big of a boost or should I go to the 8300?

Good, you have one of the best 970 boards. :) I'd say an FX 8320 if you're confident with a bit of overclocking, or an 8350 if you want to avoid it completely. The FX 8320 is essentially the FX 8350 but clocked lower at stock - you just bump the multiplier up a bit and you have basically an 8350 for a lot less money.
