I just got all my new computer parts for christmas, I built the whole thing, when I try to hook it up I realize I have no DVI slot. I used my dad's old graphics card before I could by the MSI AMD Radeon R9 270x. I plugged in a DVI cable into the graphics card, and my screen is all screwed up, and I can't change my resolution, all that comes up is "No AMD drivers or bad AMD drivers". Can anybody help me? The graphics card is Nivida GeForce 8400 GS (I know it's like 5 years old). But, my specs now are AMD FX Vishira 8-core CPU, 750 watt power supply, MSI mother board, and 8g's of Crucial RAM.

Not quite sure what you are trying to say. But if you are trying to use the old Nvidia card now in place of the AMD card, you need to uninstall the AMD gfx drivers before installing the 'new' Nvidia driver.

if you have a low powered power supply.....( old card requires a small amount of power to run, new card needs a lot more. ......... or if you didn't install drivers for the new card ( google amd drivers ) and get specific drivers for your needs.

list all specs and what yopu are using for a power supply right now.

install the amd drivers perhaps........
best option would be to get driversweeper to remove all traces of nvidia and amd/ati drivers, then install the newest amd catalyst driver.
