My old router finally died and I bought a new Netgear R6100 now I am having problems printing. This is my current configuration:

My PC is hard-lined to a Dynex 4 port wired router (192.168.1.1) a Cat6 cable has been run into my ceiling and into my living room where I have the new Netgear 4 port Wireless N Router (10.0.0.1) - The problem now is the PC will not see the wireless printer anymore. I found a forum here that suggested port forwarding but it seems neither routers firmware has this exact ability. I am at a loss on how to fix this. The old wireless that I'm replacing was configured as a hotspot and simply passed the wired routers IP through the wireless and I suppose I could do the same with this new router but I lose a rear port on the wireless router when I do this and I am using them all out in the living room as the availability of internet connected peripherals increases. I would like to find a solution that allows me to print and still retains the independent nature of the Wireless N router... Thank You

It is because they are on two different internal networks.

Second routers are almost always more of a PITA than just a simple switch.

The old wireless that I'm replacing was configured as a hotspot and simply passed the wired routers IP through the wireless and I suppose I could do the same with this new router but I lose a rear port on the wireless router when I do this
Do this again, and add an inexpensive switch if you need more ports. Or get a larger switch, and do away with that second router altogether.
