So i got my gtx 680 and connected it with my friends HDMI cable to tv (Philips 22pfl3517h/12) and it worked fine. The same day i bought my own HDMI cable and when i replaced it i get No signal message and my screen is black. I tried: different hdmi inputs, reinstallind drivers, restarting, i even tried again with my friends HDMI cable and it still shows No signal message. I connected my old gtx 560 with that same cable and it works just fine. Is there anything i can do with my gtx 680 (cause it seems to be the problem) before i return it to shop. Also could it be that my PSU is not strong enought? i have: 600W, LC POWER Super Silent Series, ATX2 v2.2.

Any response would be great!

Ok, well if you can't see anything on then it may be the gpu...my only real advice is to first try another monitor. You can't get to the nvidia control panel if you can't even see your desktop homescreen
600 watt is more than enough for a 680. best bet will be to install the 560, switch everything to use the integrated graphics driver on your cpu, reinstall the 680, and play around in nvidia control panel until you can get it to work (is nice because if one option fails, you just have to wait the 14 seconds it gives you to keep the changed settings before it reverts back to normal settings.

Many tv's also have a setting that is meant to be used when connected to a pc (my lg tv and many other tvs have had this function (google it as i cannot remember it at the moment).

It does not appear to be the cable, but may have something to do with settings.

You also do not specify if you are using the tv as a second screen or not which would be helpful. If you are, it's simply a matter of playing around with the screen settings in the nvidia control panel until you find something that works for you.

If you cannot fix this, then yes, do take it back, as a card should not simply stop working (if it works with your primary computer monitor however, it is a software thing and there is nothing wrong with the actual card

Im using tv as primary screen and i dont think the problem is in tv settings.
The thing is when i connect my gtx 680 i can hear windows starting up but i cant see anything because the screen is black so i cant change Nvidia settings.
im gonna try switching to my integrated graphics driver as you said.
Could you just explain how to do it? Im gonna look on the google but just in case, if you have time.

Also you could try going into your computer's BIOS in order to see what hardware your computer is recognizing (this will involve either repeatedly pressing escape or backspace as your computer boots up. Every Motherboard has a different bios and so i cannot exactly explain how to see installed hardware without knowing what motherboard you have. If everything is plugged in correctly, and your computer does not recognize the card , but DOES recognize your old card, then you do indeed have a faulty card and should look at taking it back
