I think I'm getting a decent deal here:

CPU: Intel i7 3770K 3.5GHz
Cooler: Corsair H55 Liquid cooler
Mobo: MSI Z77IA Motherboard
Memory: Crucial Balistix Sport 16GB (1600)
Storage: 90GB OCZ Agility 3
GPU: ASUS Radeon HD 7790
at 780 USD.
I plan on getting a 1TB HD to supplement the small SSD. All are new parts. Thoughts?

Solution
Here is the build I would suggest, the cpu is just as good as the one you choose, great for OCing, same with the board. And it's a little cheaper so you could add a GPU if you want later on.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($122.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($129.94 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State...

If this is a new buy, seriously consider a different SSD.

1. The SSD division of OCZ is in bankruptcy proceedings
2. Go for a 120GB or larger. Slightly faster, and fewer space hassles later.
3. A good air cooler is probably cheaper, less hassle, and more effective than that H55.

I should add that I am primarily interested in doing rendering using Rhino V-Ray and some work using Adobe CS. thanks for the input so far. I thought about getting used (well, the parts are new) because I thought I could shave off a hundred dollar or two. Here's the build I am otherwise considering:http://pcpartpicker.com/user/yee0890/saved/3dJB
