Hello everyone,

Since it is Christmas and I got some money, I was thinking about upgrading my graphics card because my current graphics card is really a disaster. I currently have Geforce GS 8400 256MB version, I think that Egyptians used it as a building material in the ancient times... actually I am pretty sure they were using it. Anyway, back to the topic. I have:

775 socket; Intel Pentium D 925 3.0GHZ,
2 GB DDR2 RAM
430W PSU
1440x900 resoultion

I don't have much money to upgrade graphics card, I have 60-70$ and I live in Croatia...

And I am planning to upgrade my graphics card from 8400GS to something like Geforce GT 630 if possible, if not then something like Radeon 5570. - 1GB version of graphics card.

What do you think, is my processor good enough to handle GT 630/ Radeon 5570? If not tell me your options, at least say something...

As for the games I would like to play... Will I be able to play Skyrim, Dirt 3, Naruto Full Burst, FC 3, Sleeping Dogs, AC3 and other next-gen games at my resolution or at lower resolution?

Thanks for reading, please answer if you know anything.

either of those card should be a vast improvement over your current card. The bottle neck in playing games etc. will be your RAM and possibly your processor: both are old enough to slow down the newer cards a bit: BUT you will still see an improvement. Here's a really good link on Tom's; take a look at the hierarchy chart second from the last, and see how various cards are "rated". AND the 5570 appears to be a better choice then the GT630 (with either GDDR3 or GDDR5). Power wise you should be o.k. with your power unit as long as it is a quality unit.
