In my current situation a better and private internet connection is what I need for my Multiplayer gaming. A wired solution is sadly out of the question. I am in an area that has 4G all over the place. The little I found on the subject basically states that in order to be able to game with it a couple of components are needed. The hotspot module and a router to be able to do 2 things. 1.Set the range of the device and 2. be able to set the NAT to Type 2. I need to know the best options for the hardware, keeping to a budget but I guess it really doesn't matter. I already researched that Verizon will allow the NAT type to be changed with the 2 year contract and that AT&T doesn't allow it at all. Verizon offers 10GBs for $90 a month. That I can handle and that will be plenty for BF4 since that's all it will be used for.

So my question is what should I get for the hardware components ( hotspot device, router)?
the cost and set up as well too.

Thank You

If you are planning on a router I would not use a hotspot. If you get a router that support broadband USB dongles you can have just a single router type of device. If you use a hotspot you will have in effect 2 routers which makes the NAT issue even worse. I know a number ASUS and TP-link routers support the verizon USB adapters.

It generally works best to put the USB adapter on a extention cable and place it near a window and then put the router where it work well.

I think verizon whats $10 more a month to give you a real ip rather than nat it. I wish ATT did that but it still get expensive very fast

Be aware the latency and jitter even on a LTE broadband connection may be too unstable to play a shooter type of game.
