Ok so my computer is working completely fine then the morning I was given a usb powered plasma ball (new from tesco) for my pc desk. I plugged it into my pc while it was off and when I powered it up I got 4 beeps. Did a diagnostic on it and one of my memory modules was gone. It was a corsair xm3 4gb.
I'm assuming that plugging in the plasma ball caused the fault as it was completely fine before then but thought I would check on here if that is possible before I turn up at tesco all guns blazing.
So could a USB powered plasma ball cause my memory module to stop working?
